Risk Assessment

Bellwether has extensive experience in modelling railway systems and their components for the purposes of assurance and safety and performance decision support. We are able to combine techniques such as Fault Tree/Event Tree/Cause-Consequence Modelling and dynamic layout simulation into an appropriate package to meet our client's needs.

We have played a central part in the development of risk modelling within the UK rail network, including modelling work for Network Rail, the Railway Safety and Standards Board, TubeLines, MetroNet and Transport for London. We have much experience at modelling risk at both system and component level, including complex system simulation (e.g. network timetable and junction layout analysis).

Our work has been used to support Safety Cases, Business Cases, management understanding and engineering decisions.
