Systems Engineering
Systems engineering is an inter-disciplinary approach and means to enable
the realisation of successful systems.
Systems Engineering:·
- directs the design, development, synthesis and creation of a system;
- involves a "holistic view" i.e. the design of the whole as distinguished from the design of the parts;
- comprises a technical part and a managerial part; namely,
it requires making technical decisions and trade-offs while controlling
and managing the efforts of different experts and teams.
Bellwether has experience of full lifecycle development of safety critical
systems to CENELEC, IEC, ITSEC and 00-55 standards.
We are involved in the safety, performance and RAM (Reliability, Availability
and Maintainability) activities on the NMC project including the production
of safety cases. Additionally, we run the definition of the system architecture,
how the human processes combine with the software to fulfil system functionality.
